One such way is through the use of paper tape. This offers an environmentally-friendly alternative to standard packing tape and is made from renewable resources, making it 100% recyclable.

Gummed paper tape features a water activated natural adhesive. Once the tape dries around a box the tape becomes an integral part of the box itself. That means that it is obvious if the packaging has been tampered with during transit. This type of tape also cannot be resealed once removed from a box.
